Ascus Concrete Pumping is a leader in the concrete pump hire industry. Ascus constantly strives to improve service and safety standards throughout the industry. Ascus is a member of the CPA and has been since 1972 and its Managing Director sits on the steering Committee of the British Concrete Pumping Group (BCPG).
Ascus advances standards within the industry by helping to develop the Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Concrete Pumps and the British standard which developed from the accepted Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Concrete Pumps. Ascus pushes the limits of pumpable concrete to a new advanced level.
During the many years that the company has been in business Ascus pumps have been seen operating on some of the most prestigious projects in the U.K.
The Cardiff Barrage was a particularly challenging concrete pumping project. Using the technical knowledge within the Company together with its excellent equipment. To reward the effort and professionalism, Ascus was awarded a Concrete Society Award for outstanding merit. Here we pumped 114,000 cubic metres in 59 weeks.
The Bullring in Birmingham was at the time one of the largest building projects in Europe. Ascus pumps were involved in all stages of the project and were serviced from the two midland depots of Oldbury and Mansfield.
